18 July -A Classical Education

Join us for a wonderfully entertaining and informative evening starting with a talk from the historical society on Milford in the wars.

Followed by Jonathan James takes you on a whistle-stop tour of 250 years of classical music, from medieval monks to modern masterpieces.  With fun illustrations on the piano and a pot pourri of audio excerpts, this light-hearted presentation will help you join the dots in classical music history and introduce you to whole new world of listening. Suitable for both the complete novice and seasoned concert-goers.

Jonathan James is a freelance music educator who works in venues around the country to explain classical and jazz music. He also works as a creative workshop leader and presenter for orchestras, including the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic and BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
